Description
Welcome lads and lasses! It's time to get ready for an unforgettable journey to Emerald Crossing: An Irish adventure through Psalm 23. From the lush meadows of the countryside to the cobblestone streets of the cities, we will learn about Jesus, the Good Shepherd, and how He cares for us, His sheep. This amazing adventure will begin on June 22nd (Monday) and last through June 26th (Friday). To come along, all you have to do is sign up by completing a registration form for each child. All children and youth ages 4 to 18 are invited to join us! It's an opportunity you don't want to miss!
Wonder and amazement await us each day at Emerald Crossing, where lads and lasses will gather for a meal at 5:30 pm at the Still Waters Cafe before beginning each days adventure. At 6:00 pm we will start our journey at Emerald Isle Assembly, travel to the city for Flock Talk Bible Time, then head out to the countryside for some Green Meadow Games, and finally return to the Emerald Isle Assembly to end our adventure for the day and go home.
Like David discovered throughout his life, first as a shepherd and later as a king, our adventure will help us learn how:
- Day 1: We can cross from being lost in our sin to being found by the Good Shepherd when we repent of our sin and believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus on our behalf. Kids will meet David, who knew the Lord was his shepherd.
- Day 2: We can cross from wandering on the wrong path of our own choosing to the right path found in God's Word when we follow the Good Shepherd. Kids will discover that David knew God intimately before he ever went into battle with Goliath and could choose the right path because of that knowledge.
- Day 3: We can cross from being fearful to peaceful when we focus on God and His care for us. Kids will learn that even when David went through deep valleys, he knew that God was with him and was a comfort to him.
- Day 4: We can cross from grumbling to being grateful when we thank God for His continued goodness and provision toward us. Kids will discover that David knew God was his generous provider and was able to share that provision with others.
- Day 5: We can cross from the shaky foundation of our own ideas to the sure foundation of God and His Word and look for the goodness and mercy He promises to His children. Kids will learn that David looked forward to dwelling in the house of the Lord forever -- and so can we!
So get ready for a grand ol' time at Emerald Crossing! We look forward to seeing you there!
